Stop At: Hato Caves, F. D. Rooseveltweg, Willemstad Curacao

The cave of the Amerindian Arawak’s and Caiquetio Indians, who lived around this area, and left behind the petroglyphs, estimated at least 1,500 years old. The cave is officially protected by the state as of 1967. You will have a 1 hour cave tour with a knowledgeable guide, who will give all information on the history and cultural significance of the cave.

Stop At: Kas di Pal’i Maishi, Dokterstuin 27, Willemstad Curacao

Kas di Pal’i Maishi,” meaning House of the Cornstalk, is a beautifully restored traditional house that offers a glimpse into Curaçao’s rural life from more than a century ago. Built from natural materials like clay, mud, and corn stalks, it represents the humble homes once lived in by the island’s Afro-Curaçaoan community after emancipation. Today, it stands as a small open-air museum where visitors can learn about local farming traditions, daily life, and the resilience of Curaçao’s people.
